The fall color is faintly orange to yellow and stands out in the landscape in the fall. Deciduous. It is similar to the Korean Hornbeam but with longer narrower leaves and less twiggy growth. Potted in a 12" ceramic blue rectangle container as shown. Keep outdoors. Has nice flowers in spring and smooth pink-grey fluted bark. Suitable 14.5"x10.5" humidity tray is recommended. 27"x22"x38". Native to Japan the Japanese Hornbeam has elliptical, heavily veined leaves with a pointed tip that looks like a delicate painting.
